The Big Start of 2024 Formula Drift Season! 

The highly anticipated Formula Drift Round 1 took place at The Streets of Long Beach in 2024, attracting a massive crowd of drifting enthusiasts and adrenaline tasters alike. The two-day event proved to be an exhilarating showcase of skill, speed, and precision, with a mix of weather conditions adding an extra layer of challenge for the drivers.

2024 FDLB Day 1 - Looming Sky with Competitive Races 

Day 1 set the stage for the intense competition ahead with cloudy skies looming over the iconic Long Beach drifting circuit. As the drivers revved up their engines and prepared to take on the challenging course, the spectators could sense the excitement in the air. 

2024 FDLB Day 2 - Harsh Condition for the Round 1 Races

Day 2 brought about a shift in the weather, with the skies remaining mostly cloudy throughout the day. The stands were filled to the brim as fans braved the weather to catch a glimpse of their favorite drivers in the deciding action. However, as the battles heated up on the track, nature decided to throw a curve ball in the form of rain. The sudden rain added an element of unpredictability to the already intense competition, testing the skills and nerves of the drivers as they navigated the slippery course.

Top of The Line Actions 

Despite the rainy conditions, the Streets of Long Beach witnessed some of the fiercest drifting actions and high-level competitions in Formula Drift events. The talented drivers pushed their cars to the limit, sliding sideways inches away from the barriers with precision and control. The close battles and jaw-dropping maneuvers kept the spectators on the edge of their seats, cheering on their favorite drivers with unwavering enthusiasm.

A Lighter Moments at the Event 

Amidst the roaring engines and squealing tires, several umbrella girls added a touch of glamour to the event, braving the elements to support the drivers and add to the overall spectacle of Formula Drift Round 1. Their presence added an extra layer of excitement and energy to the already electrifying atmosphere at the event.

Emerging Top Winners of 2024 FDLB Round 1 

At the end of Round 1, the results were finally in. Taking the top spot on the podium was James Deane of Team RTR, showcasing his exceptional skills and experience behind the wheel. Coming in a close second was Simen Olsen of Feal Suspension Drift Team, proving his mettle in the challenging conditions. Rounding out the top three was Aurimas "Odi" Bakchis of Feal Suspension Drift Team, demonstrating his talent and determination on the demanding Long Beach circuit.
