We pleasantly bumped into the Taiwan Itasha Car / Bike culture promotional car meet in Taipei, and it was cool!

During a current trip to Taiwan, we got a chance to witness a local car meet to promote "Itasha" car and scooter/motorcyle culture in Taiwan.

What is Itasha car or "痛車" in Japanese (or identical usage in Mandarin)?  It's putting ACG (Anime, Comics and Game Characters) art works on cars or scooters / motorcycles.  Because the characters and artworks are generally more alternative, so it's more a cult and close community than the general JDM mods in the US.

Through these cars, you would find interesting works as well as very articulated decorations of their rides.  One different distinction between the local one and the US version, is that the US people seem to spend a lot more attentions and details to their car insides as well, as a full tribute to the culture of itself, on top of the exterior wrap works.  Or may we just did not get a chance to see the inside of these cars.  Maybe they have full arrays of anime characters, with DVD
players playing anime movies, and then the seat covers would be totally anime styled!

We sure love to see the Itasha culture grow in the local market as well as the international network, as they are for little girls, teenage boys, as well as full grown ups!
